Jessica Alba Is Not Stupid!

After being a laughingstock by practically everyone in the bloggershpere from pundits to Perez Hilton, Jessica Alba is defending herself. The sizzling star who’s a staple of gossip magazines, showbiz blogs and entertainment programs is pretty pissed at the backlash over her “Be Sweden!” comment as aired on TMZ as well as her “He’s an A-hole” quip directed at Bill O’Reilly in the same segment. While I don’t really care about anything that comes out of that sweet mouth (I’m more concerned with what goes in it), everyone seemed to have a field day with her comments, calling her stupid and ignorant and such.

In a seemingly futile attempt to defend herself, she brought her sexy body to the nearest computer, went on Wikipedia (which, as we all know is THE most accurate source of information) and tried her best to find something to rectify the situation. Well, she kinda did.

I won’t bore you with her discoveries about Sweden being one of the countries that was neutral during World War 2 and all that other crap (you can read all about it in her MySpace blog) but she did find a way to silence her critics, even going as far as supplying a Wikepedia link to prove her point. Let’s just hope that this will finish this silly bit of nonesense once and for all and we can do what we’ve always been doing — looking instead of listening to the sensual Ms. Alba.

Oh, and in case you were wondering if she still thought O’Reilly was an “A-hole”, she didn’t retract her statement so I’m guessing she still does.

Meanwhile, after a not-so-successful 2008 at the box office (which, if you ask me did nothing to diminish her hotness), 2009 doesn’t seem to be any better. She doesn’t have projects lined up for release this year, but 2010 promises to be big with the (hopefully) release of Sin City 2 where once again she will don those assless chaps and fringe bra to play the role of Nancy. The sequel is still in the pre-production stages so it will take a while for it to reach theaters. But rest assured we’ll be around for every leaked film still and steamy shot to come out of this hot property.
